Makes about 24 small or 12 large cookies
You can bake this recipe in cookie form or in a pan, as actual brownies
1/2 cup softened, organic butter
1 1/2 cups organic applesauce (no sugar added)
1/2 banana, mashed
2 tsp organic vanilla extract
2 cups organic oat flour
2/3 cup organic cocoa powder
3/4 tsp organic baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
2 cups organic, semisweet chocolate chips or organic nuts or organic raisins
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In large bowl, beat butter, applesauce, banana and vanilla extract with hand mixer until light and fluffy.
In separate bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt.
Stir the flour mixture into the butter mixture until well blended.
Stir in chocolate chips, or nuts or raisins.
Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or just until set.
Cool slightly on baking sheets before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
