Looking back at 2016
Diane has been in the industry for over 20 years. What keeps her styles relevant and fresh is the fluidity in her designing as well as how the brand adapts to changing times. This year was one of the first year’s where Diane took a back seat in her September show and Jonathan Saunders was at the helm of the company. He took a radical approach in presenting the collection . Swaying away from insta-celebrity moments presented in the February fashion show, DVF drifted to a more low-key presentation style. In the September showing , the fashion house took a ‘back to basics’ approach. Other than that, this year DVF has been leading CFDA as the president of the council helping in developing new talent.
